Wi-Fi Cloud 8.6 Now Available

We are happy to announce the availability of Wi-Fi Cloud (Manage 8.6) and (Analyze 4.9.3). The latest version of Wi-Fi Cloud includes enhancements for prioritizing VoIP traffic when background scanning is enabled, and new features for automatic transmit power control and dynamic channel selection for improved high-density performance.  The captive portal platform has also been updated to limit the downtime for splash page users in future upgrades.

TDR 5.4 introduces two new features to improve management and security basics.

In line with WatchGuard’s commitment to maintain the highest security standards for our customer data, Threat Detection and Response (TDR) will discontinue the use of TLS 1.0. Beginning on 20 June 2018, versions of the AD Helper lower than 5.4.0 will no longer communicate with TDR. To ensure your AD Helper continues to function as expected please upgrade to version 5.4.0 or higher prior to 20 June 2018.

Wi-Fi Cloud Maintenance Update

Hello WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud Users,

We are planning maintenance on Thursday, 31 May from 04:00 AM UTC to Friday, 1 June 10:00 AM UTC to deploy improvements to Wi-Fi Cloud.

Wi-Fi Cloud management will be inaccessible during the maintenance activity and you will not be able to perform configuration changes. There is no impact to customer Wi-Fi service. Access Points will still be functional and provide connectivity and security. Splash pages will also be functional for guest access.

Expected Impact/Duration: During the maintenance window, users will not be able to log into to the WatchGuard.com website and will receive a maintenance notification page in lieu of the authentication page. 

Customers who are already logged into the website prior to the start of maintenance may receive an error page upon navigating to a new portal page.
