Introducing Zero Trust Policies in WatchGuard Cloud

We’re excited to announce the general availability of Zero Trust Policies in the WatchGuard Cloud Platform! This new feature brings centralized, risk-based access control to products like AuthPoint and FireCloud, helping you strengthen security across your organization.

What is Zero Trust?

Zero Trust means no user or device is trusted by default. Access is granted only through policies based on risk and context. Key principles include:

  • Deny by default
  • Access by policy
  • Risk-based verification
  • Least privilege
  • Continuous monitoring

What’s New in AuthPoint?

The policy interface is now part of WatchGuard Cloud’s shared configurations, and policy components are now called “Conditions” for easier reuse. Your previous existing policies will continue to be applied to the users authentications.

Get the Most Out of Zero Trust

Upgrade to the latest MFA Agents for Windows and Mac to unlock features like:

  • Passwordless login with biometrics (Windows Hello, Mac TouchID)
  • MFA for privilege elevation
  • ThreatSync Core for detecting credential access threats

Enable ThreatSync Core – Credential Access to monitor, detect, and respond to credential access indicators of compromise.
