Introducing the WatchGuard AP120 and AP320
WatchGuard is very excited to announce the launch of the Wi-Fi Cloud and two new access points: the AP120 and AP320. The Wi-Fi Cloud is a new hosted platform and marks a major milestone for WatchGuard and our valued channel partners as we now disrupt the Wi-Fi market together with the industry’s most sophisticated wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) technology and powerful guest engagement and analytics tools to turn Wi-Fi hot spots into invaluable consumer research and push marketing tools. Architected from the ground-up to focus on ease of deployment and administration, the WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud simplifies even the most complex aspects of Wi-Fi management, making fast, secure, and intelligent Wi-Fi accessible to organizations or all types and sizes.
The AP120 and AP320 access points (APs) are the first members of a new cloud-ready family of APs designed for maximum performance. These new cloud-ready APs offer the flexibility of being purchased with a Wi-Fi Cloud subscription which includes full WIPS, engagement and analytics features or to be purchased alone and managed by the Gateway Wireless Controller (GWC) included in all Firebox NGFW/UTM appliances and receive a lightweight feature set. If purchased alone and managed by the GWC, customers may upgrade to the WIPS, engagement, and analytics features of the Wi-Fi Cloud at any time by purchasing a Wi-Fi Cloud subscription.

When managed by the WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud, the AP120 and AP320 access points deliver:
- Wireless Security: Leverage the industry’s only reliable WIPS technology to block the most advanced malicious threats ranging from man-in-the-middle attacks, wireless denial of service, to rogue devices without the high rate of false positives other WIPS solutions encounter. With the industry’s most accurate WIPS, these threats will be automatically prevented in seconds without disabling innocuous neighboring Wi-Fi networks.
- Guest Engagement & Analytics: Leverage custom branding and engagement tools to customize the Wi-Fi experience for guests to improve their browsing experience and brand perception. Once guests are connected, access valuable demographic, location, and browsing data that can be used to drive a variety of future marketing and sales activities.
