WatchGuard's MFA solution earned a performance-verified endorsement from Miercom for its competitive edge as the most affordable solution that included exceptional MFA functionality with an easy-to-use interface for both users and administrators. While the competition could sometimes offer the same functionality, it came at the cost of meticulous interfaces and documentation that made for a challenging first time experience.

In standardized testing developed by NetSecOPEN, WatchGuard Firebox devices achieved certified performance for speeds with all security scanning and HTTPS content inspection enabled.

The results of Miercom’s testing show that WatchGuard Firebox displays exceptional performance for stateless and stateful throughput scenarios with different firewall features enabled. Its high-performance rate with security features enabled earns it the Miercom Performance Verified certification.

WatchGuard has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification of its information security management system (ISMS). The scope of the certification is limited to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) of the WatchGuard infrastructure for the configuration, deployment, management, and operational support of products listed on WatchGuard's certificate.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized standard that specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system.

WatchGuard's endpoint security products have received a certification with "High ENS Category" (Cualificación Alta ENS) from National Cryptological Center of Spain (CCN).

The CCN is Spain’s national Common Criteria (CC) scheme. The Spanish National Security Scheme (ENS) is the transposition of NIS Directive, European Cybersecurity and National Cybersecurity Strategy as a law, in Spain to support the public sector and its supply chain to put in place cybersecurity measures. ENS contains a catalog of certified security products, including Panda Adaptive Defense, Panda Adaptive Defense 360, Cytomic EDR, and Cytomic EPDR. WatchGuard EPDR and Advanced EPDR are certified.

WatchGuard's endpoint security products achieved EAL2+ certification in the evaluation for the Common Criteria standard.

The Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC) is a set of evaluation criteria agreed to by the United States National Security Agency/National Institute of Standards and Technologies and equivalent bodies in countries around the world (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United States, Austria, Denmark, Finland, United Kingdom. WatchGuard Endpoint Security achieved the highest possible rating, AAA, in the SE Labs Endpoint Protection Suite (EPS) Q1 2026 evaluation.
