Update: Endpoint Security Extended Support for Windows Server 2003 and 2008 - Now Through June 30, 2027

We are extending the End of Life (EOL) date for endpoint protection on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 by one more year – now through June 30, 2027.

We understand that migrating from older platforms can take time – and we’re here to help. Still, time is limited – take advantage of this extra time to complete your migration and avoid losing critical protection.

This extension applies only to these two operating systems. All other previously announced EOL timelines remain unchanged. Remember that Windows 2008 R2 is still supported.

Affected Operating System Versions:

  • Windows:  Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 (Server 2008 R2 remains supported)

What Happens on June 30, 2027:

  • Licenses on devices running the above OS versions will be automatically removed
  • These systems will no longer be eligible for license reassignment

Once licenses are removed, endpoints will have all protection features disabled, lose access to Collective Intelligence, stop receiving signature updates, and all assigned tasks will cease.

To stay protected, plan your customers’ migration well in advance and complete it before the deadline.
