New Notification Rule

You can now configure the DNSWatch Temporary Block notification rule in WatchGuard Cloud for Fireboxes. This rule generates an alert when DNSWatch temporarily blocks DNS traffic due to a high rate of DNS ANY queries or NXDOMAIN (non-existent domain) errors. Resolved Issues

• This release includes a fix to make sure that when users are imported into the WatchGuard Cloud Directory (Configure > Directories and Domain Services > WatchGuard Cloud Directory > Users > Import CSV), user attributes that include accented characters such as é, ç, and è are not corrupted and shown as Unicode escape sequences. New Features

Restricted Operator Visibility for Endpoint Groups (Beta)

This feature enables administrators to restrict Subscriber operator visibility to specific endpoint groups in WatchGuard Cloud. When an administrator creates or edits a Subscriber operator, they can select one or more endpoint groups to define the operator's visibility scope.

After you enable the beta toggle, go to the WatchGuard Cloud Beta test community to report issues and submit suggestions.

Rai Expanded Action Tabs Section

WatchGuard Network Management (Beta)

WatchGuard Network Management provides visibility into the health, performance, availability, and connectivity of devices across your managed network. Asset discovery, inventory collection, topology mapping, monitoring, and alert generation help identify and investigate network issues. Network dashboards, topology maps, alerts, and reports provide operational visibility into network health, asset activity, and connectivity.

Security Strength Dashboard (Beta)

A new Security Strength dashboard provides an overview of your security strength across the WatchGuard product portfolio. Use the dashboard to quickly identify risks, prioritize remediation, and improve your security strength score. After you enable the beta toggle, go to the WatchGuard Cloud Beta test community to report issues and submit suggestions.

Application Risk Dashboard (Beta)

With this beta feature, you can explore the applications in the WatchGuard database to see which ones are most prevalent, how exposed your organization is to potential threats when they are used, and how to protect the organization from application risks. After you enable the beta toggle, go to the WatchGuard Cloud Beta test community to report issues and submit suggestions.

Application Risk Dashboard with Firebox Application Discovery (Beta)

With this beta feature, WatchGuard Cloud analyzes Firebox network traffic logs to identify applications used on your network on the Application Risk dashboard. This feature requires that you also enable the Application Risk Dashboard beta feature toggle. After you enable the beta toggles, go to the WatchGuard Cloud Beta test community to report issues and submit suggestions.

Network Dashboard (Beta)

The Network dashboard provides an overview of network health in WatchGuard Network Management. Use the dashboard to review information about locations, monitored assets, alerts, and device inventory to identify issues that require attention and monitor network activity. After you enable the beta toggle, go to the WatchGuard Network Management Beta test community to report issues and submit suggestions.

WatchGuard MDR Add-on License for Vulnerability Scanner

A new WatchGuard MDR Vulnerability Scanner add-on license is now available for Service Providers with an active WatchGuard Core MDR, Core MDR for Microsoft, Total MDR, or Open MDR license. With this license, you can scan internal and external IP addresses in the Managed Services portal to identify open ports, exposed services, missing patches, end-of-life software, weak or default credentials, and other exploitable misconfigurations.

Enhancements

• Service Providers with AuthPoint and a PSA integration in WatchGuard Cloud can now use the Customer Gateway Connected or Not Connected PSA ticketing notification rule to automatically open and close tickets in their connected PSA tool. [AAAS-26685]

• WatchGuard Cloud now delivers scheduled reports as individual .PDF and .CSV files instead of a .ZIP attachment. Recipients can open the report files directly from the email. [WCD-44519]

New Features

Hey Rai Conversational AI (Beta)

Hey Rai is a new conversational AI panel in WatchGuard Cloud. Enable this beta toggle to show the Rai button on each page. Use Hey Rai to ask Rai activity or inventory questions, investigate incidents, explore platform security strength, and receive plain-language answers from real platform data. Rai prompts can be focused on all accounts or on an individual account.

Rai MCP Server (Beta)

The Rai MCP server is a new WatchGuard Cloud feature that allows customers and partners to securely connect external AI clients and agents to Rai through a standardized MCP (Model Context Protocol) interface. When you enable this beta feature, a new Administration > Rai page is available.

New Features

Email Recipient Verification for Email Notifications Lists

With this feature, recipients added to an email notifications list must verify their email address before they can receive notifications. When you save a list, WatchGuard Cloud sends a verification email to each recipient. Recipients must verify their email address within 48 hours, or the verification link expires.

On the Edit Email Notifications List page, you can view the verification status for each recipient (Verified, Pending, or Token Expired) and resend a verification email to recipients with an expired token. If WatchGuard Cloud receives notification that an email address is invalid, it removes the address from the list. [WCD-39185]

With this feature, Service Providers can now view the home page for Rai, the always-on virtual team member that delivers an AI-powered intelligence experience in WatchGuard Cloud. Rai operates as a security expert who can continuously execute routine and complex security operations at machine speed across your environments. Rai acts autonomously when needed under Service Provider control and explains outcomes through the Daily Brief, visualization, KPI widgets, and Action tab.

To view the Rai home page, Service Providers must enable ThreatSync on their own Subscriber account and on any other devices or Subscriber accounts they want to view data for.

WatchGuard Agent Improvements for FireCloud (Beta)

You can also configure the deployment behavior of these products on the Configure > Agent Deployment page. The Endpoints details page now shows information on the last logged in user, endpoint roles, and the status of the WatchGuard MDR Syslog Collector. New Features

WatchGuard NDR for Firebox License

WatchGuard NDR for Firebox is licensed by Firebox model to provide comprehensive traffic monitoring, in-depth VPN log analysis, DHCP log analysis, and device monitoring for any endpoint connected to a Firebox.

You can now allocate WatchGuard NDR for Firebox licenses to your managed accounts. From the new Licenses tab on the Configure > ThreatSync+ Integrations > Firebox page, you can assign WatchGuard NDR for Firebox licenses to Fireboxes and FireClusters in your account for ThreatSync+ NDR monitoring.

You can now manage and configure DNSWatch in WatchGuard Cloud. Existing DNSWatch users can migrate DNSWatch configuration data from the legacy UI to the new DNSWatch in WatchGuard Cloud UI.

With DNSWatch in WatchGuard Cloud, you create DNSWatch configurations to define the settings and filters that DNSWatch uses to determine whether to block a site. Accounts and Fireboxes are subscribed to DNSWatch configurations for enforcement. Fireboxes do not have to be cloud-managed for DNSWatch in WatchGuard Cloud, but they must be added to WatchGuard Cloud for visibility.

Requirements:

Centralized Notification Management for PSA Ticketing

With this feature, tier-1 Service Providers that integrate Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools with WatchGuard Cloud can centrally configure and manage notifications for PSA ticketing for their managed accounts.

A new WatchGuard product, FireCloud Internet Access, is now available to beta test. FireCloud is a managed cloud-based firewall-as a-service. FireCloud protects your remote users against Internet-based security threats.

With FireCloud, you can configure these security settings to protect your users:

Content Scanning

Scanning engines protect against spyware, viruses, malicious applications, spam email, and data leakage.

Network Blocking

You can use FireCloud to monitor and block common security threats, such as botnets, spyware, SQL injections, cross-site scripting, and buffer overflows.

Geolocation

Geolocation is a security service that enables FireCloud to detect the geographic locations of connections to and from your protected devices. In FireCloud, you can enable and configure Geolocation to block access to and from specific locations.

Content Filtering

Content filtering uses the WebBlocker and Application Control security services to block specific content categories and applications.

You configure FireCloud in the WatchGuard Cloud platform, and end-users connect to the service with the WatchGuard Connection Manager. When end-users are connected to FireCloud, FireCloud protects them from threats so that they can safely use their computer and browse the Internet.

ThreatSync+ NDR

ThreatSync+ NDR is a cloud-based, network-centric threat detection and response solution that helps organizations identify, detect, and respond to network-based cyberattacks. It uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to deliver enterprise-level cyber defense across hybrid networks. To use ThreatSync+ NDR, you must purchase a ThreatSync+ NDR license. You can now manage ThreatSync+ NDR licenses in WatchGuard Cloud. ThreatSync+ NDR extends the existing ThreatSync functionality in WatchGuard Cloud and offers enhanced network detection and response, network device identification, and advanced reporting for Fireboxes, third-party firewalls, and LAN infrastructure. WatchGuard Compliance Reporting

You can now manage Compliance Reporting licenses and generate compliance reports in WatchGuard Cloud. WatchGuard Compliance Reporting provides additional defense goal reports to help prove compliance for audit or cyber insurance purposes. ThreatSync+ NDR provides the network data required by these reports. To use Compliance Reporting, you require a ThreatSync+ NDR license and a Compliance Reporting license. Shared Users and Groups for Directories and Domain Services

WatchGuard Cloud is centralizing user and group management in Directories and Domain Services (previously called Authentication Domains). As part of this change, you can now add WatchGuard Cloud-hosted users and groups to a new authentication domain called the WatchGuard Cloud Directory. Products in WatchGuard Cloud, such as AuthPoint, can use the users and groups that you add to the WatchGuard Cloud Directory.

When you add the WatchGuard Cloud Directory, your existing local AuthPoint users and groups automatically migrate to Directories and Domain Services in WatchGuard Cloud. This does not impact your AuthPoint configuration. You still view and manage the users and groups in AuthPoint.

We also added a new type of AuthPoint user account: non-MFA users. Non-MFA users are users that only authenticate with a password, such as a service account user. Non-MFA users do not consume an AuthPoint user license and cannot authenticate to resources that require MFA. They can only authenticate to protected resources if the non-MFA user account has a password only authentication policy for that resource. When you add new users to the WatchGuard Cloud Directory, you select whether to add non-MFA users or MFA users.

Log Search Notifications are publicly available. This feature provides Log Search and Log Manager improvements:

• You can now click a link to be notified when your log search completes.
• The Log Search page now provides a list of your recent searches and examples of search queries.
• If you select a folder, the search results include Device and Serial Number columns.
• When you export log messages from Log Search or Log Manager, the maximum number of logs that can be exported is now 20,000.

This feature updates the data retention periods for log data:

• For a Firebox with the Total Security Suite, the data retention period for log data for Log Manager and Log Search is 1 year. 10 days of log data (plus the number of days associated with the Data Retention license assigned to the Firebox) is available for fast searches.
• For a Firebox with the Basic Security Suite, the data retention period for Log Manager and Log Search is 90 days. Fast search is not available with Basic Security Suite unless you purchase a Data Retention license.
• WatchGuard implemented the extended data retention period for log data in October 2022. Log data prior to 20 October 2022 is not available.

WatchGuard EDR Core

WatchGuard EDR Core is a new solution available with a Firebox Total Security Suite license. EDR Core includes EDR features and adds XDR capabilities through ThreatSync. It is a replacement for the TDR Host Sensor in WatchGuard Cloud. When a Service Provider activates a Total Security Suite license, the EDR Core license and the number of available endpoints now appear in the Inventory page in WatchGuard Cloud. TDR Upgrade to Endpoint Security Tool

TDR users can upgrade their Host Sensors to EDR Core or another endpoint security license from WatchGuard Cloud. The upgrade process is available for Windows and macOS endpoints only. It automatically installs the WatchGuard Endpoint Agent on the endpoints of the account. You do not have to reinstall the agent or protection software.

You can now add a description for an access point to help you identify the device in WatchGuard Cloud. You can add a description for existing access points in the Device Settings configuration. Access Point Radio Details

Additional radio details are available for an access point on the Device Settings and Device Summary pages that show the current channel and transmit power for each radio. For increased network design flexibility, you can now configure an external VLAN to have more than one interface member. External VLAN interface members can now be untagged. With these enhancements, you can now bridge a VLAN between interfaces and create policies that apply to traffic between the interfaces.

Threat Detection and Response Integration

Threat Detection and Response (TDR) is now available in WatchGuard Cloud in the Asia Pacific, North American and European regions. With TDR integration, you no longer have to maintain two different account structures between WatchGuard Cloud and TDR.
