Wi-Fi Cloud 8.6 Maintenance Update

Hello WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud Users,

WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud services will be upgraded starting on Friday, July 20, 2018. These upgrades include:

  • WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud and AP firmware 8.6.0-634
  • Analyze service is upgraded to greatly reduce captive portal splash page downtimes for future upgrades

TDR 5.4 is now available

TDR 5.4 introduces two new features to improve management and security basics.

First up, this release includes a new Account Reset feature that enables Admins to reset any or all elements of a TDR configuration to default settings and remove domains, devices, and indicators from your TDR account. This feature is helpful when wanting to start from a “factory default” state or even when wanting to have a clean environment when conducting POCs or providing product demos. In line with WatchGuard’s commitment to maintain the highest security standards for our customer data, Threat Detection and Response (TDR) will discontinue the use of TLS 1.0. Beginning on 20 June 2018, versions of the AD Helper lower than 5.4.0 will no longer communicate with TDR. To ensure your AD Helper continues to function as expected please upgrade to version 5.4.0 or higher prior to 20 June 2018.

Wi-Fi Cloud Maintenance Update

Hello WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud Users,

We are planning maintenance on Thursday, 31 May from 04:00 AM UTC to Friday, 1 June 10:00 AM UTC to deploy improvements to Wi-Fi Cloud.

Wi-Fi Cloud management will be inaccessible during the maintenance activity and you will not be able to perform configuration changes. There is no impact to customer Wi-Fi service. Access Points will still be functional and provide connectivity and security. Splash pages will also be functional for guest access.

AP firmware versions 1.2.9.15 for the AP100, AP102, and AP200, and 2.0.0.10 for the AP300 are now available to address security vulnerabilities.
