Challenge

Logic’s long-standing and successful relationship with WatchGuard began over 25 years ago when the company was first looking for a robust, reliable network perimeter firewall solution. A thorough evaluation of the market revealed WatchGuard to be the right choice for Logic in terms of performance, support, innovation, and simplicity of management.

“It was great to work with and talk to someone locally,” recalls John Stashkiw, director at Logic. “WatchGuard said 25 years ago that they would support us through our journey, and they’ve been true to their word ever since.”

Over the years, Logic has seen cybersecurity become increasingly complex for its customers, especially smaller businesses. Many organisations struggle with not only budget constraints but also knowledge and skills gaps. A recurring challenge is keeping staff aware and alert in the ever-changing threat landscape, while ensuring a dependable security infrastructure operates behind the scenes. For Logic, the mission has been to make security simple, scalable, and accessible.

Solution

To tackle the new and emerging cybersecurity challenges experienced by its customers, Logic has developed a robust managed security portfolio using WatchGuard’s broad range of products and services. These include WatchGuard’s next-generation firewalls, endpoint security, Wi-Fi access points, and AuthPoint multi-factor authentication. By combining these products, managed in WatchGuard’s Unified Security Platform, Logic has been able to offer clients a truly integrated security experience, managing multiple layers of protection through a single pane of glass.

Logic also leverages WatchGuard’s MSSP Points for flexible service procurement and licensing.

More recently, Logic adopted WatchGuard’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR), enabling them to extend threat detection and response capabilities around the clock and deliver 24/7 protection to their clients.

“WatchGuard Cloud allows us to manage the entire portfolio from a single pane of glass,” says John. “This drastically reduces our infrastructure and operational costs and streamlines reporting. The addition of MDR has also enhanced our offering even further. And compared to another vendor’s MDR, we found WatchGuard provided better coverage at a more cost-effective price point.”

As cybersecurity demands increase, Logic has seen a shift in its customers’ priorities. Cyber insurance providers are raising the bar, requiring evidence of layered defences and proactive monitoring. In addition, a number of high-profile attacks, such as the recent ones in the retail sector, have prompted all businesses, regardless of size or sector, to take security threats even more seriously.

Results

Working with WatchGuard has not only improved Logic’s service delivery but also driven measurable business growth. Since becoming a managed service provider (MSP), Logic has seen its MSP Point usage grow from 2,000 to over 10,000 points per month. This sharp increase reflects both increased demand for managed security and the trust that clients place in Logic’s solutions.

WatchGuard’s suite has also helped many of Logic’s clients achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification, boosting their compliance posture and reinforcing their resilience in the face of growing cyber threats. John said, “WatchGuard prevents threats before they impact our clients, so our clients remain confident, enabling them to focus on their core business.”

“Working with WatchGuard is a real partnership. From local support and proactive account management, and flexible billing options, the team have helped us to grow our business, without the risk of competing with the vendor due to their 100% channel go-to-market programme,” said John.

John concluded, “The introduction of WatchGuard’s Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service enables us to deliver 24/7 cyber protection to our clients without investing in our SOC infrastructure.”

Looking ahead, Logic is taking its partnership with WatchGuard a step further by building a dedicated website that focuses exclusively on WatchGuard’s technologies, reinforcing its expertise and strengthening its presence in the market.
