Export Compliance

WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. Export Compliance Guidelines

 

All WatchGuard products; including software and documentation, are subject to U.S. export control regulations, including the following:

  • The Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) administered by the United States Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”), which govern exports from the United States, re-exports between other countries, and deemed exports to foreign nationals.

  • Economic sanctions regulations administered by the United States Department of the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), which prohibit all trade and transactions with Cuba, Iran, Sudan, or Syria, with the governments of those countries, with the Crimea region, or with designated parties.

The export or re-export of WatchGuard products and/or third-party products may require prior written authorization from the U.S. Government in order to comply with applicable international, U.S., and local laws.

WatchGuard product is currently prohibited for export or re-export to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea region currently controlled by Russia without prior written authorization from the U.S. Department of the Treasury (OFAC) or the U.S. Department of Commerce (BIS), and in some cases from both agencies.

WatchGuard product is prohibited for export or re-export to any person or entity on the U.S. Department of Commerce Denied Persons, Entities and Unverified Lists, the U.S. Department of State's Debarred List, or on the U.S. Department of Treasury's lists of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons, as revised from time to time (referred to collectively in these Guidelines as “Restricted Parties.”

The countries (in addition to the United States) participating in the Waasenaar Arrangement to which WatchGuard products can be exported under License Exception ENC are as follows:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
