Strong Q4 SE Labs EPS Results Demonstrating Effective Protection & Low Friction

WatchGuard earns an AAA rating in SE Labs Endpoint Protection Suite testing, delivering proven threat prevention with zero operational friction in real-world environments.

Following our successful MITRE ATT&CK Evaluation results earlier this month, WatchGuard has now achieved an AAA rating in the SE Labs Endpoint Protection Suite (EPS) evaluation, the highest possible score in this independent test.

SE Labs evaluates prevention and response in real-world scenarios, validating the ability to stop attacks while allowing legitimate business activity to continue uninterrupted. This approach reflects how WatchGuard Endpoint Security products perform in real-world environments, where strong protection must coexist with productivity and cause minimal operational friction.

What does this mean in practical terms?

  • Full attack prevention at scale
By accurately stopping and removing threats, security teams spend less time on manual remediation and endpoint cleanup, helping operations remain efficient and predictable as environments grow.
  • Zero operational friction
Low false positives mean fewer legitimate activities are blocked, resulting in fewer business disruptions and less unnecessary intervention for IT and security teams, including remediation efforts.
  • Independent validation you can trust
SE Labs provides third-party validation under realistic conditions, assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of protection beyond marketing claims.

Together with our MITRE ATT&CK Evaluation results, these SE Labs EPS results reinforce a consistent message:

WatchGuard delivers superior protection with proven effectiveness and zero operational friction.

Organizations can utilize these independent results to gain a deeper understanding of how WatchGuard Endpoint Security helps protect against real-world threats while maintaining business continuity.

How is this different from the MITRE ATT&CK Evaluation?

The two evaluations are complementary, focusing on different aspects of endpoint security.

MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations focus primarily on behavior-based detection, especially malicious activity that leverages living-off-the-land techniques, where attackers abuse legitimate tools to evade traditional defenses.
MITRE also includes a protection test that evaluates the ability to stop threats within the context of the emulated threat actor.

SE Labs EPS, on the other hand, validates prevention across a much broader set of real-world threats, using hundreds of samples delivered through executables, installers, scripts, and other payloads. The evaluation confirms that threats can be stopped and removed without disrupting normal business operations.

Together, these evaluations provide a more complete and balanced view of endpoint security effectiveness – from behavioral visibility and detection to large-scale prevention, response, and operational impact.
