B&S IT-Solutions Cuts Incident Management Time in Half with ThreatSync

Challenge

B&S IT-Solutions, a managed services provider based in Germany, has supported small and mid-size businesses for over 20 years. With a strong focus on the healthcare sector, the team of five manages IT infrastructure and cybersecurity for approximately 250 clients and 1,200 endpoints.

As the business grew, so did the complexity of managing multiple security platforms and dashboards. This fragmentation led to increased training requirements for their team and time lost pivoting from dashboard to dashboard. Scaling their security services offering was difficult. Seeking greater efficiency and integration, B&S began looking for a solution that could unify their operations and reduce overhead.

Solution

After evaluating several alternatives, B&S selected WatchGuard’s Unified Security Platform®. ThreatSync, WatchGuard’s extended detection and response (XDR) engine, gave B&S a streamlined interface and automation capabilities. The ability to manage all security functions through a single pane of glass stood out as a key differentiator. Tight integration with WatchGuard’s Network, Endpoint, and Identity security gave B&S a clear path for easy growth and expansion of their offering, without increasing overhead.

B&S first trialed ThreatSync in December 2022 as part of the WatchGuard Beta program. Thanks to prior use of WatchGuard Cloud and EPDR, onboarding required minimal effort. Activation was as simple as applying service provider templates across accounts. With a custom PSA API integration and centralized alerting, the team quickly eliminated redundant dashboard checks and streamlined workflows.

Results

B&S IT-Solutions reports a 50% reduction in time spent managing security incidents. With improved visibility and real-time alerts feeding directly into their custom dashboards via API, technicians can now focus on resolving threats rather than monitoring systems. Incident reports sent to clients further demonstrate the value delivered by their managed services.

Since adopting ThreatSync, B&S has also expanded its use of WatchGuard technologies, including AuthPoint multi-factor authentication and Wi-Fi. The integrated platform and automation-ready features have enabled the team to scale service delivery without adding headcount. By leveraging ThreatSync, B&S continues to elevate the speed, precision, and transparency of its cybersecurity operations.
