AuthPoint for End-Users

AuthPoint is a multi-factor authentication (MFA) service. When you use AuthPoint, you must authenticate when you log in to a protected resource, such as a VPN, online application, or a computer or server.

MFA adds additional layers of security to keep your account secure even if your password is compromised. With MFA, two or more credentials (password, token, fingerprint) are required to validate and identify you when you log in.

This creates multiple layers of protection, which makes it harder for someone to gain unauthorized access to a protected resource. Even if your password is compromised, that is only the first layer of defense that an attacker has to breach.

How It Works

When your administrator adds you as an AuthPoint user, you can continue to log in as usual with your user name and password, but you must also authenticate with your tokenA token is something used to identify you and associate you with a device, like a digital signature or fingerprint. 1. Open the login page for any service or application that has been set up for multi-factor authentication.
  2. Type your user name and password.
  3. Choose an authentication method to verify your identity.
  4. You are securely logged in.
