WatchGuard periodically distributes upgrades for Fireware OS and WatchGuard System Manager. To keep your network secure, WatchGuard recommends that you install the latest available versions of Fireware OS and WatchGuard System Manager. If you use WatchGuard System Manager to manage your Firebox, you must upgrade WatchGuard System Manager before you upgrade the Fireboxes it manages.
You can also upgrade your Firebox from WatchGuard Cloud. For more information, see Upgrade Firmware in WatchGuard Cloud.
You can also add upgrades to your Firebox to enable additional subscription services, capacity, and support. For a list of available upgrade options, see https://www.watchguard.com/wgrd-products/utm/overview#utm-security-modules.
As your network and security needs change, you might also want to upgrade to a newer Firebox and migrate your existing Firebox configuration.
