Monitor Bandwidth-Consuming Applications

Applies To: WatchGuard Advanced Reporting Tool

Use the Bandwidth-consuming Applications tab to see programs that download or upload high volumes of data.

Your operator role determines what you can see and do in WatchGuard Cloud. Your role must have the Access Advanced Security Information permission to view or configure this feature. For more information, go to Manage WatchGuard Cloud Operators and Roles.

To see applications that send and receive high amounts of data:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Monitor > Endpoint Security.
  2. Select Status > Advanced Visualization Tool.
  3. From the left pane, select Advanced Reporting > Application Control.
  4. Select the date range for the data you want to see.

  1. Click Refresh.
    The dashboard shows information for the time period selected.
  2. Select the Bandwidth Consuming Applications tab.
  3. Expand the Applications section.

  1. Review the tiles in this section to see the volume and percentage of data received by applications that run on the network.
    You can use this information to identify applications with above average consumption and to optimize bandwidth use on your network. For information on Voronoi charts, go to About Voronoi Charts.
