Send a Remote Alarm (Android and iOS devices)

Applies To: WatchGuard Advanced EPDR, WatchGuard EPDR, WatchGuard EPP

When anti-theft is enabled, you can send a remote alarm and message to the Android or iOS device. By default, the alarm sounds immediately, even if the device is locked. The screen displays the message and phone number you specify.

To send a remote alarm to a device:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Monitor > Endpoints.
  2. Select Computers.
  3. From the left pane, select The My Organization folder icon. My Organization.
  4. Select the Android or iOS group.

  1. From the list of devices, select the device you want to send an alarm to.

  1. Click Remote Alarm.
    The Remote Alarm dialog box opens.

  1. In the text box, enter a message to display on the device.
  2. In the Contact Phone text box, type a phone number to display on the device.
  3. To prevent an alarm sound, select the Don't Play Any Sound check box.
  4. Click Send Alarm.
