About the FlexPay Payment Program

WatchGuard has a two-tier distribution system. This means that WatchGuard, as the vendor, sells its products in to distributors, who then sell the products through partners or resellers to customers. Partners and resellers can purchase products and bundled products through various payment options. (End customers can purchase only term licenses.)

Customers can purchase a service, add-on feature, or renewal license from an authorized reseller. To find a reseller or partner, go to https://findpartner.watchguard.com/.

FlexPay enables partners to purchase WatchGuard products in three different ways:

  • Term — Fixed-term prepaid annual licenses
  • MSSP Points — Monthly subscription paid with points
  • Subscription — Monthly pay-as-you-go subscriptions
    • Month-to-month subscription with no commitment, billed monthly. All software subscriptions use one-month contracts. Also available for hardware subscriptions.

With subscriptions, partners pay only for active users or endpoints each month. They can be for a fixed term or with no commitment. There is no upfront cost for a subscription license. Term licenses are always used first and then subscription users or endpoints when the term license is exceeded.

About MSSP Points

WatchGuardONE Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs) can enroll in a flexible pricing prepaid points program called MSSP Prepaid Points. Partners can manage and allocate these prepaid points to tenants for most WatchGuard products.

Products that you manage in WatchGuard Cloud and purchase with points show as a subscription. At the start of each calendar month, WatchGuard automatically deducts points from the Total Points Available based on the service type and monthly point allocation for each managed device and service.
