ConnectWise RMM is a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool used by Managed Service Providers (MSPs). RMM agents installed on customer endpoints enable MSPs to discover IT assets and remotely monitor and manage them. The WatchGuard Agent plug-in for ConnectWise RMM enables Service Providers to deploy WatchGuard software such as WatchGuard EPDR and the WatchGuard Connection Manager.
About the WatchGuard Agent
The WatchGuard Agent is an application you install on endpoints in your network so that WatchGuard Cloud can communicate with them. The WatchGuard Agent has two primary purposes:
- Deploy WatchGuard software, such as the WatchGuard Connection Manager and Endpoint Security product software.
- Handle communication between managed computers on the same network and between managed computers and the WatchGuard Cloud servers.
The WatchGuard Agent regularly communicates with WatchGuard Cloud to make sure that the latest software is installed on the endpoint. When WatchGuard releases a new version of installed software, the WatchGuard Agent can automatically download and install the new version. For more information, go to About the WatchGuard Agent.
If the WatchGuard Agent is already installed on your endpoints and you want to deploy additional WatchGuard products, we recommend that you log in to WatchGuard Cloud, and from the Configure > Agent Deployment page, select the deployment behavior for each account.
