Zendesk Automation with WatchGuard CloudDR

When you integrate Zendesk with CloudDR, CloudDR automatically creates issues in Zendesk with the detailed data per customer when an action occurs.

Prerequisites

To configure this integration, you must have:

  • A Zendesk user account with the Admin role and API token access enabled
  • An API token for the Zendesk user account

To generate an API key for your Zendesk user account:

  1. Log in to Zendesk Admin Center with the user account with the Admin role.
  2. Click Apps and Integrations, then select APIs > API Tokens.
  3. Click Add API Token.
  4. Enter a description for the token.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Copy the generated token.

Integrate Zendesk with CloudDR

To integrate Zendesk with CloudDR:

  1. Select Integrations > Response & Automation.
  2. In the Zendesk widget, click Add.
  3. Click Start Integration.
  4. (Service Providers) Select the organization you want to configure the integration with.
  5. In the Namespace text box, enter the namespace from your Zendesk URL. This is the part of the URL before .zendesk.com. For example, if your URL is https://example.zendesk.com, enter example.
  6. Click Next.
  7. In the Email text box, enter the email address for the user account identified in the prerequisites.
  8. Click Next.
  9. In the API Token text box, paste the API token that you copied previously.
  10. Click Submit.
