Applies To: Wi-Fi Cloud-managed Access Points (AP120, AP125, AP225W, AP320, AP322, AP325, AP327X, AP420)

When you deploy your captive portal, you must make sure that guests users are redirected to the captive portal splash page when they connect to an AP.

To configure captive portal settings in Discover:

  1. Open Discover.
  2. Select Configure > WiFi, then select the SSID tab.
  3. Select an SSID.
  4. Select the Captive Portal tab.
  5. Select the Captive Portal check box.
  6. Select Third-Party Hosted from the drop-down list to use a third-party hosted captive portal page or Wi-Fi Cloud portal campaign that you have created with Engage and Analyze.
  7. Type the Splash Page URL and Shared Secret for your captive portal.

For portals created with Engage and enabled in Analyze, click the Show link for a portal on the Portals page in Analyze to display the splash page URL and shared secret.

  1. In the Websites that users can access before login section, specify a list of web sites (walled garden) that guest users can access before they authenticate to the captive portal. This list should include services that might be required by the client to login, such as authentication sites, social media logins, and content servers.
  2. Click Save.
