Profile Analytics

The demographics data in Analyze provides profile information about all guests who connect to the Wi-Fi network. To see profile information about visitors or guests, from Analyze, click Analytics > Profiles.

When a user logs in to Wi-Fi, they can log in through a social media, Guestbook, or Web Form plug-in. During login, the guest user is prompted to enter information in the provided fields, or profile information can be retrieved from the user's social media account. This data, such as a profile picture, portal and plug-in used, location, are displayed on the Profiles analytics chart. Only information that the guest user has allowed to be retrieved from their social media profile is shown

Facebook has recently implemented new compliance requirements about the storage and use of opt-in demographic profile information (age and gender) collected from guest Wi-Fi users. This data will no longer be available from the Wi-Fi Cloud-managed Facebook app, and profile information such as age and gender will appear as "Unspecified" in Analyze reports.

The profile information about guests or visitors is displayed in a tabular format. Some of the information is visible by default. To view additional fields, click the down arrow next to the field name in the table, click Columns, and select the check boxes for the additional fields to view.

The guest profile information is available for each location in the location tree. The guest profile information for up to 100 users can be displayed per page at a given time. If the number of guests for a location exceeds 1000, only the latest 1000 guests are displayed.

You can view the profile information for all guests for a location by exporting this information to a CSV file. To export to a CSV file, click Profiles>Download CSV. The CSV file includes the profile information of all the guests for a selected location and is not limited to a maximum value.
