View a Site's Content Category

In the WatchGuard Security Portal, you can view the content categories for a website. These categories are used by DNSWatch to filter content based on your content filter policies.

To view a site's content category, from the WatchGuard Security Portal:

  1. Open a web browser and go to the WatchGuard Security Portal at https://www.watchguard.com/securityportal/UrlCategorization.aspx.
  2. In the URL(s) text box, type the website URL or IP address. To specify multiple URLs or IP addresses, separate each with a space, comma, or semicolon.

  1. Select the I'm not a robot check box.
  2. Complete the reCAPTCHA task, if requested.
  3. Click Search.
    The categorization for each URL or IP address appears in the Results section of the page.

If a site is not categorized, or is miscategorized, you can submit the URL and suggested category. For more information, go to Request a Content Category Change for DNSWatch.
