Mobile VPN with SSL Connections

You can configure your Firebox to host Mobile VPN with SSL sessions. When the Firebox is configured with a Mobile VPN with SSL connection, users included in the Mobile VPN with SSL group can install and use the Mobile VPN with SSL client software to make an SSL connection.

Because the device allows the SSL connection from any of your users who give the correct credentials, it is important that you make a policy for SSL VPN sessions that includes only users who you want to allow to send traffic over the SSL VPN. You can also add these users to a Firebox User Group and make a policy that allows traffic only from this group. The Firebox creates a pre-configured group named SSLVPN-Users for this purpose.

In Fireware v12.3 or higher, you can use a wizard or select to manually configure Mobile VPN with SSL.

In Fireware v12.2.1 or lower, you must manually configure Mobile VPN with SSL. In Fireware v12.2 1 or lower, select VPN > Mobile VPN with SSL to configure Mobile VPN with SSL. In Policy Manager v12.2 1 or lower, select VPN > Mobile VPN > SSL.
