Configure Risks Settings

Applies To: WatchGuard Advanced EPDR, WatchGuard EPDR, WatchGuard EDR, WatchGuard EPP, WatchGuard EDR Core

In Risks settings, you configure the risks you want to detect on your devices and set the risk level. The risks available depend on your WatchGuard Endpoint Security product.

The overall risk level for a computer is calculated from the risk level of one or more risks identified on the computer. On the Risks dashboard, you can monitor the overall status of the security risks assigned to computers in your network.

When you configure risks, you specify the risks you want to detect on computers, and assign a risk level to each risk (for example, critical, high, or medium). By default, WatchGuard recommends a risk level for each type of risk.

Risk update is asynchronous. There could be a delay between when you configure risks and when data shows in lists and the Risks Dashboard.

To configure risk settings for an account:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Configure > Endpoints.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Risks.
  4. Enable the toggles for the risks you want to include in the settings profile.
  5. Select a level for each risk.
If the recommended risk level is different from the level you select, a warning icon shows beside the risk level. Point to the icon to see the recommended risk level.
  6. Click Save.
