Upgrade Trial Licenses – Service Providers

You can upgrade a trial during the trial period. When you upgrade a trial, the time remaining and all settings transfer to the upgraded trial. For information on trial parameters, go to About Trials in WatchGuard Cloud.

These upgrade paths are available for Endpoint Security products:

If you have a trial of Endpoint Security Basic, you can upgrade to a trial of Endpoint Security Elite or Endpoint Security 360, or Endpoint Security Prime.
If you have a trial of WatchGuard EDR, you can upgrade to a trial of Endpoint Security Elite or Endpoint Security 360, or Endpoint Security Prime.
If you have a trial of Endpoint Security Prime, you can upgrade to a trial of Endpoint Security Elite or Endpoint Security 360.
If you have a trial of Endpoint Security 360, you can upgrade to a trial of Endpoint Security Elite.
If you have a trial of Endpoint Security Elite, you cannot upgrade the trial.

When you upgrade a trial, the trial of the new product can take up to two minutes to become available. When you upgrade a trial for endpoint security, you can add modules to the trial, if available. You can add additional modules to an in-progress trial.

You can convert a trial license to a term license. For more information, go to Convert a Trial to a Term or Subscription License - Service Providers.

If you start a trial of Endpoint Security Basic and upgrade the trial to Endpoint Security 360 or Endpoint Security Elite, but then decide to buy a term license of Endpoint Security Basic, the Subscriber account will be provisioned correctly at activation for the termed license.

Caution: If you have a Total Security Suite license with EDR Core and then start a trial of an Endpoint Security product such as Endpoint Security 360, the EDR Core license becomes inactive in WatchGuard Cloud.

Your operator role determines what you can see and do in WatchGuard Cloud. Your role must have Service Provider Administration permissions to view or configure this feature. For more information, go to Manage WatchGuard Cloud Operators and Roles.

To upgrade a trial, from WatchGuard Cloud:

From Account Manager, select Overview.
Select Administration > Trials.
Select the tab for your product.

In the Account Name column, next to the account you want to upgrade the trial for, click and select Upgrade Trial.
The Upgrade Trial dialog box opens.

From the Product list, select the product you want to upgrade to.
If this is an endpoint security trial, from the list of modules, select the check box for each endpoint security module you want to evaluate.
Click Upgrade.
The Product Type column updates to show the new product for the remainder of the trial period.
