About Zero Trust in WatchGuard Cloud

Applies To: WatchGuard Cloud

Zero trust is a cybersecurity framework that assumes that no user or device, whether inside or outside your network, should be trusted by default. Instead, it requires continuous verification of identity, context, and compliance before you grant access to resources.

To support a zero trust approach, WatchGuard Cloud offers centralized policy management. From the zero trust UI in WatchGuard Cloud, you can create and manage policies and conditions (previously called policy objects in AuthPoint) in one place and use them across multiple products and services in WatchGuard Cloud. This centralized management makes it faster and easier to control who can use specific resources and when.

These services support zero trust policies and conditions:

  • AuthPoint
  • FireCloud
