Fastvue in WatchGuard Cloud

Applies To: Cloud-managed Fireboxes

Fastvue integrates with WatchGuard Fireboxes to help you gain visibility into network traffic, web usage, and user activity. Fastvue aligns with KCSiE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) requirements and uses keywords and notification rules to monitor network Internet usage. You can use Fastvue to:

  • Monitor Internet usage in schools
  • Protect public libraries and spaces
  • Detect insider threats and increase workplace productivity
  • Help IT personnel gain insights into bandwidth, security, and firewall policies when troubleshooting

When you enable Fastvue in an Outbound policy, the Firebox adds the HTTP Referer:* request header to the traffic handled by the policy. The Referer:*header contains all or part of the address that requested a resource and enables a server to identify referring pages that users visit from. Fastvue can collect and analyze this data from the Firebox traffic log messages and use it to generate reports.

We recommend you only enable Fastvue on Outbound policies with an Allow action.
