Sentry Integration with WatchGuard CloudDR

Sentry is a software monitoring platform that automatically detects and notifies you of critical performance issues so you can trace every slow transaction to a poor-performing API call or database query. This guide describes how to integrate Sentry with CloudDR.

Prerequisites

To configure this integration, you must have:

  • A Sentry user account with the Owner role
  • An API token with the organization:read (org:read) permission

To generate an API token:

  1. Log in to Sentry with the user account with the Owner role.
  2. From the user profile menu, select User Settings.
  3. In the Developer Settings section, select Personal Tokens.
  4. Click Create New Token.
  5. In the Name text box, enter a name for the token.
  6. From the Organization drop-down list, select Read.
  7. Click Create Token.
  8. Copy the generated token.

Configure the Sentry Integration in CloudDR

To configure the Sentry integration in CloudDR:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Configure > CloudDR.
  2. Select the Integrations tab.
  3. (Service Providers) From the Select Integrations View drop-down list, select Add Integrations.

  1. In the Sentry widget, click Add.
  2. Click Start Integration.
  3. In the Namespace text box, enter the namespace from your Sentry URL. This is the part of the URL before .sentry.io. For example, if your URL is example.sentry.io, enter example.
  4. In the API Token text box, paste the API token that you copied previously.
  5. Click Submit.
