MongoDB (Atlas Mongo) Integration with WatchGuard CloudDR

MongoDB is a source-available cross-platform document-oriented database program. Classified as a NoSQL database program, MongoDB uses JSON-like documents with optional schemas. This guide describes how to integrate MongoDB with CloudDR.

Prerequisites

To configure this integration, you must an Organization Owner user account and have a MongoDB API key with these permissions:

Scope Use
Organization Read Only View the settings, users, groups, and projects in the organization.
Organization Owner View organization settings.

To generate an API key:

  1. Log in to MongoDB.
  2. Select Applications.
  3. On the Applications page, select the API Keys tab.
  4. Click Create API Key.
  5. Enter a description for the API key.
  6. From the Organization Permissions drop-down list, select Organization Read Only and Organization Owner.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Copy the generated public and private keys.
  9. In the API Access List section, select Add Access List Entry.
    The Add Access List Entry dialog box opens.
  10. In the Access List Entry text box, enter 52.45.176.119.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Click Done.

Configure the MongoDB Integration in CloudDR

To configure the MongoDB integration in CloudDR:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Configure > CloudDR.
  2. Select the Integrations tab.
  3. (Service Providers) From the Select Integrations View drop-down list, select Add Integrations.

  1. In the MongoDB widget, click Add.
  2. Click Start Integration.
  3. In the Private Key text box, paste the private key that you copied previously.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Public Key text box, paste the public key that you copied previously.
  6. Click Submit.
