Send Feedback to WatchGuard

When you first configure your instance of Dimension, or upgrade your instance of Dimension, you can enable Dimension to send feedback to WatchGuard. This feedback helps WatchGuard to improve products and features. It includes information about how your instance of Dimension is used and issues you encounter with Dimension, but does not include any information about your company or any company data that is sent through Dimension. Because of this, your Dimension feedback data is anonymous. All feedback that is sent to WatchGuard is encrypted.

WatchGuard uses the information from the Dimension feedback data to understand the geographic distribution of instances of Dimension. The data WatchGuard collects includes summarized information about which features and services are used on Dimension and about Dimension health and performance. This information helps WatchGuard to better determine which areas of the product to enhance to provide the most benefits to customers and users.

When feedback is enabled, feedback is sent to WatchGuard once every six days and each time Dimension reboots.

Dimension feedback includes this information:

  • Version of Dimension OS installed
  • IP address of Dimension
  • Virtual machine type and version
  • Amount of storage space allocated
  • Maximum database size
  • Number of cores allocated
  • Number of users configured
  • Number of log messages collected in the previous 24 hours
  • Total number of log messages in the Dimension server database
  • Number of Fireboxes and FireClusters connected to Dimension for logging or management, by type
  • Device health information for Fireboxes and FireClusters connected to Dimension
  • Number of VPNs managed by Dimension, by type

Use of the feedback feature is entirely voluntary. You can disable it at any time.

To disable feedback:

Clear the Send feedback to WatchGuard check box.
