A good week for awards

Like most things during lockdown, the plethora of industry awards went online. Despite the best efforts, virtual presentation ceremonies could simply not recreate the buzz of a live event. But last month, the UK WatchGuard Team had to dig out their dinner jackets and hope that they still fitted, in order to attend two major industry award finals.

The first event was the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2021 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. Now in their 12th year, the ITEuropa awards recognise and reward excellence in European software development, IT and Telecoms and bring together leading channel partners, resellers, system integrators, ISVs, MSPs, services providers, distributors, solutions and marketing channels from across Europe to demonstrate their ability to provide industry-leading IT solutions for their customers.

In addition to sponsoring and presenting the awards for Managed Service Project of the Year and Managed Service Solution of the Year, WatchGuard came away from the night as Highly Commended in the prestigious and fiercely competitive award for Security Vendor of The Year.

Two nights later, the WatchGuard team was back in London all dressed up for the Network Computing Awards at Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge, shortlisted for the Hardware Product of the Year. And when the time came, it was those magic words: And the winner is…….WatchGuard for the Hardware Product of the Year for the Firebox M Series. The great thing about the Network Computing Awards is that they are voted on by our customers and partners.

It was great to gain recognition for our products and services and we could enjoy the experience of getting together with our peers and partners to celebrate the best in the industry and our freedom to be out at live events again.

We look forward to many more.
