WatchGuard shows off DLP for XTM at IP Expo

Visit WatchGuard on Stand C17 to see its latest next-gen firewalls, email and web security solutions and wireless access points

25 September 2014 - At next month’s IPExpo, WatchGuard will be showcasing the new Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution for its unified threat management platform. Running on the powerful XTM range of integrated security products, WatchGuard’s DLP for XTM simplifies compliance with regulatory standards by selecting from a pre-configured DLP library of more than 200 rules to monitor multiple file types, standards and sensitive data. Checks for Data Protection Act and PCI compliance, for example, can be completed with a single click.

“The WatchGuard XTM strategy allows small and mid-size companies to have the same ‘best of breed’ security enjoyed by the largest enterprises, while still having a single, reasonably priced and easy-tomanage security solution,” said Alex Thurber, vice president of sales for the Americas and EMEA regions. “Our new DLP offering continues this business model and shows the on-going flexibility, performance and expandability of our system.

” WatchGuard’s latest XTM next generation firewalls deliver enhanced networking capabilities and management flexibility and all now come with full support for VPN access to the Windows Azure cloud computing platform. Combined with support for Microsoft Hyper-V, this means that WatchGuard is the only company to deliver unified threat management for the hybrid cloud, ensuring secure and seamless data access across public cloud, private network and virtualised IT environments.

Visitors to the WatchGuard stand will also learn about its latest XCS security solutions that provide defence in depth email and web security by blocking spam and email-borne threats at the perimeter, while preventing accidental or malicious data loss in outbound traffic. The recently announced WatchGuard XCS 880 delivers 20 percent more processing power, twice the email throughput and consumes less than half the energy of previous models.

With more companies adopting bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies for a more mobile, flexible and productive workforce, WatchGuard is also featuring its wireless access point products that give users the same level of security for WLAN traffic as traditional fixed network traffic.
