Firebox T Series offers best performance in its class and is simple to configure, deploy and manage

Body

8 November 2017WatchGuard® Technologies, has announced hardware upgrades for its Firebox T Series of unified threat management (UTM) appliances. The throughput improvements and added features in WatchGuard’s new T15, T35 and T55 tabletop UTMs allow users in small offices, home offices and distributed enterprises to experience ultra-fast internet speeds without sacrificing enterprise-grade security or controls.

“Hackers no longer discriminate based on location or the size of a business,” said Brendan Patterson, Director of Product Management at WatchGuard Technologies. “Small offices and home offices are just as likely to be targeted as enterprise locations, which is why they need the same level of protection. As internet speeds continue to increase, we continue to improve the performance of our tabletop Fireboxes to ensure that security doesn’t restrict network performance or interfere with business goals.”

The new T15 offers a broad range of security services to keep smaller sites safe. Easy to configure and deploy for networks with up to five users, it’s ideal for protecting home offices and retail chain locations. The T15 also delivers throughput rates of 400 Mbps as a basic firewall and 90 Mbps while running full UTM features, including IPS, Anti-Virus and Application Control.

The new T35 and T55 models are designed for small office, branch office and distributed enterprise locations with 20 and 35 users, respectively. Deploying a T Series Firebox at each office location ensures better performance and security than running all network traffic through a central UTM, which can degrade speeds and act as a single point of failure. The T35 offers throughput of 940 Mbps when running as a basic firewall and 278 Mbps with full UTM features enabled. The T55 offers throughput of 990 Mbps as a basic firewall, 378 Mbps while running full UTM features.

The new T35 and T55 also feature integrated 802.11ac adapters allowing users to inspect and secure wireless traffic using the latest standards along with Power over Ethernet port for devices such as security cameras or wireless access points.

Replacing WatchGuard’s T10, T30 and T50 products, respectively, the T15, T35 and T55 models are available now. For more information, visit: https://www.watchguard.com/uk/wgrd-products/tabletop/t-series
