Disable or Delete a Policy

As your network security requirements change, you can disable or delete the policies in your configuration.

When you modify, delete, or disable a policy in your configuration, the policy change is applied to all future connections to or from your network. If a connection is active when you make the policy configuration change, the connection remains active until the connection is ended or your Firebox reboots.

To disable a policy, from Fireware Web UI:

  1. Select Firewall > Firewall Policies or Firewall > Mobile VPN IPSec Policies.
  2. Double-click the policy.
Or, select the policy. From the Action drop-down list, select Edit Policy.
  3. Clear the Enable check box.
  4. Click Save.

You can disable a policy in two places in Policy Manager: the main Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tabs, or the Edit Policy Properties dialog box.

To disable a policy from the Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tab:

  1. Select the Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tab.
  2. Right-click a policy and select Disable Policy.

  2. Clear the Enable check box.
  3. Click OK.
