TDR Account Types

There are two types of Threat Detection and Response (TDR) accounts, each with different privileges. Your account type depends on whether you are a WatchGuard partner.

Subscriber Account

If you are a WatchGuard customer, but not a WatchGuard partner, your TDR account is a Subscriber account. With your TDR account, you can manage and monitor all Fireboxes and Host Sensors deployed on your network.

Subscriber accounts can have these user roles: Administrator, Analyst, and Observer.

Service Provider Account

If you are a WatchGuard partner, your TDR account is a Service Provider account. With your TDR Service Provider account, you can manage and monitor Fireboxes and Host Sensors for all customer accounts that you manage. From WatchGuard Cloud, you can allocate TDR Host Sensor licenses to managed customer accounts.

For more information about user roles, see TDR Operator Roles and Permissions.
