Activate a DNSWatchGO Trial License

Any account that does not already have an active DNSWatchGO license assigned to it can try it free for 60 days on a trial license. DNSWatchGO trial licenses have 250 users, are valid for 60 days, and can be renewed for another 60 days.

It is not necessary to have a Firebox to use DNSWatchGO. You can use it as a standalone product to protect your users both on and off the network, regardless of other WatchGuard products you may use.

Get Started with DNSWatchGO

To get started with DNSWatchGO, you must activate a trial license in the WatchGuard Support Center.

To activate a trial DNSWatchGO license for your account:

  1. Go to and log in to the WatchGuard Support Center with your WatchGuard account user name and password.
  2. On the Support Center Home page, select My WatchGuard > Manage Products.
    The Manage Products page opens.

  1. Click WatchGuard DNSWatchGO.
  2. Click Free 60 day trial.
  3. Type a name for your license. This gives you an easy way to identify your trial license on the WatchGuard website and in WatchGuard Cloud.
  4. Click Next.
  5. To accept the End-User License Agreement, select the I accept check box.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Select the region to use for Cloud data storage. The region you select is also used to store data for other Cloud services. You cannot change the region later.

If you have already set a Cloud region for WatchGuard Cloud or another Cloud service, that region is used and you are not prompted to select a Cloud region.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Confirm that the Cloud region you selected is correct. Click Next to finish and activate your license.

You now have an active DNSWatchGO trial license. The 250 users from the trial license are allocated to your DNSWatch account. The trial license expires after 60 days but you can renew it once to continue services for an additional 60 days.

You can manage DNSWatchGO from the DNSWatch Web UI. Click Access DNSWatch to log in to the DNSWatch Web UI.

Your DNSWatch credentials are the same credentials you use to log in to the WatchGuard Support Center.
