SMTP-Proxy: Authentication

This ruleset allows these ESMTP authentication types: DIGEST- MD5, CRAM-MD5, PLAIN, LOGIN, LOGIN (old style), NTLM, and GSSAPI. The default rule denies all other authentication types. The RFC that tells about the SMTP authentication extension is RFC 2554. You can add, delete, or modify rules.

  1. In the SMTP-Proxy Action configuration, select ESMTP > Authentication.

  1. Configure the rule action.
    For more information, go to Add, Change, or Delete Rules.
  2. To change settings for another category in this proxy, see the topic for that category.
  3. Save the configuration.

If you modified a predefined proxy action, when you save the changes you are prompted to clone (copy) your settings to a new action.
