Configure WatchGuard Cloud API Settings

WatchGuard Event Importer uses the WatchGuard Cloud public API for client authentication. To configure and first-run Event Importer, you must enable RESTful API access in WatchGuard Cloud and get the credentials for API requests. Client authentication information is available to you after you enable API access. For more information, go to Enable API Access.

After you enable API access, this information is available:

Access ID (Read-write)

Use this ID in an API request. The request generates an API access token that allows read and write access.

Access ID (Read-only)

Use this ID in an API request. The request generates an API access token that allows read-only access.

Authentication API URL

To generate an access token, send a request to the URL of this WatchGuard Authentication API endpoint.

API URL (base)

The base URL for WatchGuard public API requests.

API Key

Use this value as the WatchGuard-API-Key header parameter in all requests to WatchGuard public APIs.
