Firebox® Firewall Installation Services

In order for your LiveSecurity system to provide you the maximum protection possible, it must be properly configured. The key to a proper LiveSecurity system setup is knowing what security policy you wish to enforce and having a complete and accurate mapping of your network.

If you need assistance with your initial setup and configuration of your LiveSecurity system, you have several options. The first option is to contact a WatchGuard Authorized Reseller in your area. Many of our authorized resellers offer on-site installation services to help you get your LiveSecurity system up and running quickly and efficiently.

A second option is to schedule a two-hour "installation slot" with a WatchGuard technician. WatchGuard Installation Services are designed to be a low-cost installation alternative for those customers who know the security policies they want to enforce and have an accurate mapping of their network, but need some assistance turning this policy and mapping into a WatchGuard Firewall configuration. For $599 USD, you may schedule an installation slot with a dedicated WatchGuard support technician. This technician will assist you for up to two hours by reviewing your network setup and helping you with the following:

Firewall hardware setup
Proxy rule configuration
Logging
Packet filter rule configuration
WebBlocker configuration
Route and related network accountability
Trusted, optional, and external interface configuration (networked and drop-in)
Authentication setup
MUVPN setup for one remote user
LiveSecurity software setup, registration, and configuration

If additional time is needed to complete the installation beyond the contracted two hours, you may elect to purchase additional one hour blocks for $300 per hour.

Setup of some of Firewall features are too complex to effectively handle during a two hour installation slot. If you need installation assistance with any of the following features, we highly recommend you contact the WatchGuard Authorized Reseller in your area and contract on-site installation services:

Multiple MUVPN setup and testing
High Availability setup

If you are interested in scheduling an installation slot, please call us at +1.206.613.0800. All slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis and must be scheduled 72 hours in advance. Please be prepared to provide your name, company name, phone number and product serial number or LiveSecurity key. Remote installation slots are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM your local time Monday through Friday for a fee of $599 USD per 2-hour slot. After-hour installation slots are available upon request for a fee of $799 USD per 2-hour slot.

Before your installation slot begins, you should document a thorough and accurate network diagram and security policy and fax it to your installation technician. Providing this information before your scheduled slot time begins will give the technician time to review your network beforehand and guarantee you get the most out of your two hour installation slot.

Please note that installation slots begin precisely at the scheduled time. If you call in late, the time lost is yours. Likewise, if our technician is not available within 5 minutes of the scheduled installation time, you will not be charged for the installation slot.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule your installation slot as late as one full business day in advance and not incur a charge. Cancellations or rescheduling less than one full business day in advance or failure to be available during the agreed upon installation time will result in forfeiture of the full installation fee.
