Firebox® Management: WatchGuard® VPN Manager

Turn the complex task of setting up multi-site VPN tunnels into a simple three step process using the technology of VPN Manager to instantly create VPNs. VPN Manager significantly reduces the ongoing management complexity of operating a VPN tunnel network and provides secure, cost-effective Internet communications in remote locations.

The Firebox® 4500, 2500, and 1000 each include a 4 node VPN Manager license upgradeable to 10, 20, or unlimited users.* VPN Manager runs on Firebox® 4500, 2500, and 1000 models, and can manage all Firebox® III and Firebox® SOHO appliances (with or without dynamically assigned IP addresses), and WatchGuard Mobile User VPN clients.

Now get 50 MUVPN licenses when you activate a new LiveSecurity® Service account for new Firebox® III models (4500, 2500, and 1000) and 5 when you activate an account for new Firebox® 700 and 500 models. This is an incredible value!

Secure Management of Firebox® SOHOs

VPN Manager also gives you a secure way to remotely manage WatchGuard® Firebox SOHO appliances. The browser connection uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, with X.509.v3 certificates for authentication. In addition, you can create up to 5 VPN tunnels for each Firebox® SOHO 6 Model or SOHO 6 Wireless Model under management.

Simple VPN Management

The VPN Manager user interface provides administrators with four network views that let them quickly and effectively manage their VPN tunnels and Internet security policies.

• Device View shows all Firebox® appliances and VPN tunnels under management, and their current network status.
• VPN View lets administrators establish security policy templates.
• Log View displays all Firebox® log servers, and will generate detailed logs for any or all Firebox® appliances under management.
• Custom View lets you create unique views that match the business needs of your organization, such as grouping or renaming Firebox® appliances or VPN tunnels by geographic region or department.

VPN Manager lets you create high-speed VPN tunnels in three easy steps:

1. Connect two Firebox® appliances with a VPN tunnel.

2. Select the required security level for the VPN tunnel.

3. Click Finish and VPN Manager automatically launches the tunnel.

*VPN Manager does not currently manage Firebox® Vclass appliances.
