Apply corporate policies to telecommuter workstations, protect wireless connections, and create secure Branch Office VPNs with your corporate network that are separate from your Trusted network. The VPNforce Port Upgrade lets you enable the Optional (OPT) port on your Firebox SOHO 6 model appliance to ensure telecommuter workstation and corporate network security. You can also use the OPT port on Firebox SOHO 6 models for the Dual ISP Port Upgrade*.

How It Works

• Require telecommuters to authenticate with a Mobile User VPN client and let network administrators enforce corporate security policies for telecommuters and branch offices with a firewall between the Trusted (4 port switch) interfaces and the OPT port.
• Allow users to share a broadband connection with family, roommates, or multiple corporate peers while still working under the company security policy.
• A separate subnet lets administrators choose to block all or no traffic.

Wireless Access Point Security
How It Works

• Prevent wireless "drive by" hacking by connecting a wireless access point through the OPT port.
• Increase your corporate network security by forcing telecommuters to authenticate with a Mobile User VPN client, creating a secure IPSec tunnel from the wireless computer to the Firebox SOHO 6 model appliance.
• Separation of the Trusted network from the OPT port further protects the connection from the wireless computer to the Firebox SOHO 6 model.
