Start a Trial – Service Providers

The trials available for an account you manage in WatchGuard Cloud can depend on the licenses installed and any trials already completed. For more information on trial parameters, go to About Trials in WatchGuard Cloud.

Your operator role determines what actions you can take on a given page. Owners, Sales, and Helpdesk operators can start trials. As a tier-1 Service Provider, you can start a trial for any delegated tier-1 Subscriber account you have. To start a trial, from WatchGuard Cloud:

  1. From Account Manager, select Overview.
  2. Select Administration > Trials.
  3. Select the tab for the product you want to start a trial for.

  1. In the Account Name column, next to the account you want to start the trial for, enable the toggle to start the trial for an account.
    The Add Trial dialog box opens.

  1. From the Product list, select the product you want to evaluate.
  2. If this is a trial for an endpoint security product, from the list of modules, select the check box for each endpoint security module you want to evaluate.
    The Advanced Reporting Tools is recommended with the WatchGuard Endpoint Risk Assessment. For more information, go to WatchGuard Endpoint Risk Assessment.
  3. Click Add.
    The Status column changes from Never Tried to In Progress. The 30-day trial period begins when you add the trial license to an account. When a trial expires, all endpoint security product trials are unavailable for 90 days. If an EDR Core license is activated during a trial, the trial is not canceled.

The trial can take up to two minutes to become available.

  • Select Monitor > Endpoints or Configure > Endpoints to open the management UI for your endpoint security trial product.
  • Select Configure > AuthPoint to open the AuthPoint management UI.
  • Select Monitor > ThreatSync+ NDR or Configure > ThreatSync+ NDR to open the ThreatSync+ NDR management UI.
  • Select Administration > Scheduled Reports > ThreatSync+ NDR to see the additional reports available with Compliance Reporting.

To end a trial, from WatchGuard Cloud:

  1. From Account Manager, select Overview.
  2. Select Administration > Trials.
  3. Select the tab for the product you want to end a trial for.

  1. In the Account column, disable the toggle for the account you want to end the trial for.
    The End Trial dialog box opens.

  1. Click End Trial.
    When a trial ends, all product trials are unavailable for 90 days.
