How it Works
- Sales partners access their LiveSecurity account.
- Sales partners identify the customer they wish to renew by providing the end-user company name and/or license keys or serial numbers, if known. associated with their account and print renewal quote sheets for each subscriber.
- WatchGuard provides a quote sheet to the sales partner that they can use to sell the renewal.
- WatchGuard notifies the sales partner when it is time for this customer to renew again.
Questions and Answers
Q: How do I add customers to my account?
A: The minimum information that the sales partner must provide is the end-user company name, country and state (if applicable). If known, the sales partner should also provide the end-user's LiveSecurity license key(s) and/or serial numbers.
Q: If a sales partner has a large number of subscribers to track, do they have to enter the names of each company?
A: No. Sales partners may email a list of their subscribers to LSRenewals@watchguard.com. WatchGuard will import this data into the Customer Renewal Tool and the sales partner will be automatically notified when it is time for subscribers to renew.
Q: Can sales partners generate a report listing their customers that are scheduled to renew?
A: Yes, the WatchGuard Customer Renewal Tool offers a 'Generate Report' option where sales partners may view an online list of upcoming subscriber renewals associated with their account and print renewal quote sheets for each subscriber.
Q: If a subscriber is renewing multiple Firebox appliances, how is their renewal cost calculated?
A: At renewal, all of the subscriber's subscriptions are consolidated into a single account. The subscriber receives a single renewal invoice. The account's expiration date is set to the earliest subscription expiration date. The earliest expiring subscription is renewed for a full year and the balance of subscriptions are prorated to expire on same date.
Q: How do sales partners subscribe to the LiveSecurity service?
A: Subscriptions for sales partners are free. Every Authorized WatchGuard Reseller has been provided with a special key that they register one time to create their master company User Name and Password. Once this master credential set is created, each individual salesperson may set up their own personalized service by first logging in using the master credential set and following the conversion steps for selecting their own User Name and Password.
