Position Overview

The role of the Reseller Account Manager - is to develop and grow the WatchGuard Reseller Channel in the assigned territory. You will be comfortable dealing with Resellers at all levels, promoting the complete product set, with the goal of growing the revenues and market share through both existing partners and the recruitment of new resellers. Knowledge of IT/Networking related solutions is required, however further product training will be provided. Candidates will also provide a key supporting role to resellers in engaging with end user projects.

Duties/Responsibilities

Measures

  • To meet or exceed revenue and sell through targets on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • To broaden the WatchGuard product range within reseller base in accordance with goals set.
  • To recruit carefully qualified new resellers
  • To engage resellers in quarterly product promotions and marketing activities
  • Agree quarterly activity/development plans with WGRD resellers and monitor them.
  • To directly engage in end user projects to support resellers in winning business.

Objectives

  • To track sales opportunities and create a reseller network capable of effectively promoting WatchGuard solutions in the assigned territory.
  • To maximize revenue opportunities for WatchGuard by developing relationships with Resellers in your territory, qualifying and forming relationships between the Reseller and WatchGuard resources with multiple decision-makers throughout the account base.
  • To obtain mind-share and commitment within the reseller channel ensuring the effective positioning of WatchGuard solutions to the end user market.
  • To generate, qualify and follow up leads within the WatchGuard system, bringing such leads to a timely conclusion, keeping accurate records of all contacts made with Resellers.
  • To work as part of a team with internal sales, product and sales management sharing information and maximizing effectiveness within the Reseller base.
  • To maintain a professional relationship with the local and European WatchGuard team
  • To forecast business in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work with the regional management to identify new channels

Education/Skills/Environment

This role will suit an IT or business graduate (or of graduate calibre), looking to further develop their career with a vendor. The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience of working in a sales role in the IT/Networking sector, and possess strong sales/rapport building skills and have an ambitious nature.

Ideally, the successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven track record of selling indirectly through a reseller community.
  • Proven track record of both winning new business and account management.
  • Good understanding of IT/networking/Security
  • Strong relationship building skills
