Primary Objective
The inside sales channel territory representative is responsible for building quality relationships with resellers in an effort to increase channel loyalty to WatchGuard and drive revenue growth through channel partners.
Overview
Responsibilities include working within a sales team to promote and sell network security products within a geographic territory. This includes sales of network security products and services to resellers, system integrators, consultants and DMR’s. Channel sales - territory representative works with territory sales managers to develop sales strategies to penetrate existing and potential markets, customer and reseller prospecting, and pre-sales product recommendations. The channel sales- territory representatives will establish and maintain relationships with channel partners and mail marketing/sales literature to prospective clients. The channel sales- territory representatives will keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as the competitive posture of the company, as well as prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
Responsibilities
- Answering a high volume of customer calls within a sales call queue.
- Outbound prospecting and lead qualifying.
- Respond to customer e-mail inquiries.
- Qualifying new customer opportunities.
- Tracking and assigning customers leads through sales database.
- Conducting outbound call campaigns against sales and marketing initiatives.
- Providing additional coverage for channel sales and service sales teams.
- Managing and growing revenue of the approved tier channel.
- Meeting quarterly territory revenue requirements.
- Dispersing and following up on customer leads and opportunities.
- Driving opportunities through existing channel partners.
- Groom partners for the expert program to promote consistent revenue of USD $15K per quarter.
- Provide continuous training and support for approved channel partners within the assigned territory. Presentations should consist of promotions, new products, partner portal and programs. Required to schedule 2-3 Web based (WebEx) training sessions per quarter.
- Working closely in conjunction with territory sales team to ensure all new partner accounts are being maintained and fully optimized.
- Responsible for ensuring that new and existing Approved partners acquire and maintain WCSP and WCTP certification. Must have at least one WCSP and WCTP certification per year.
- Manage and close services renewal and upgrade opportunities, including:
- Processing CRT opportunities.
- Quoting assistance for end users and partners.
- Training partners on Selling and renewing WatchGuard services.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Onyx CRM database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years channel sales or comparable experience.
- Fluent in Flemish/English speaking and writing
- Energetic and high quality team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Understanding of computer networking, network security and computer peripheral products in network environments a plus.
- Experience working within a commission and quota structure; history of meeting and/or surpassing goals and quotas.
- Proficiency with desktop computers; MS Office, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM experience preferred.
